Audition Information
Cary Ballet Conservatory accepts auditions on a rolling basis throughout the year. Dancers may submit video applications at any time, allowing flexibility for those from near or far. Our year-round review process ensures that every applicant has the opportunity to be considered when they’re ready to take the next step in their dance journey.
Cary Ballet Conservatory’s Professional Training Program (PTP) is designed for dedicated dancers aspiring to pursue a professional career in ballet. PTP students train intensively under the guidance of expert faculty—many with distinguished professional backgrounds—receiving personalized coaching, mentorship, and career preparation tailored to each dancer’s goals.
PTP dancers perform with the Cary Ballet Company, our resident pre-professional company, gaining invaluable stage experience and a strong competitive edge for future opportunities. Optional semi-private coaching is available for students preparing for elite events such as the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) or American Dance Competition (ADC), though competition participation is not required.
Our state-of-the-art studios in Cary’s vibrant Preston Corners feature advanced sprung flooring, full-length mirrors, and professional-grade amenities, providing an inspiring and safe environment for growth.
Auditions for the PTP are accepted year-round through video submissions, with select in-person auditions held throughout the season. All PTP dancers are required to perform with the non-profit Cary Ballet Company as part of their training.
More than a program, the PTP is a launchpad for extraordinary futures—cultivating technical excellence, artistic expression, and the discipline needed to thrive both on stage and beyond.
