Andrea Astuto
Andrea Astuto has a passion for the art of contemporary dance that shines through in her unique and diverse style of choreography. Andrea is the current Assistant Director at Odasz Dance Theatre in Rochester, NY where she is also their choreographer and Director of the Contemporary Dance Program. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2012 with a BA in Dance specializing in Education and Choreography.
Ms. Astuto is an 8 time recipient of Youth America Grand Prix’s Outstanding Choreographer Award and was also presented with this award at the YAGP International Finals in Tampa, Florida in 2021. Her choreography has been featured in several Youth America Grand Prix “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow” Galas as well as in the Nervi Festival in Genoa, Italy.
In 2019 she also received the Outstanding Choreography Award at the WBAC Canadian Grand Prix Finals held in Niagara Falls, Canada. She has created several YAGP Finals gold and silver medal award winning pieces in both the ensemble and Contemporary Pas De Deux categories. Andrea was a featured choreographer for Season 4 of NBC’s hit tv series World of Dance and worked alongside the ballet duet “Styles and Emma”. Her choreography can also be seen in pop artist Natalie Taylor’s music video “For A Reason.”
