Yaqshaan Medan
Yaqshaan Medan, a Philadelphia native, has over 14 years of experience in the art of Dance. Since beginning dance at the tender age of 16, Yaqshaan went on to obtain his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the prestigious University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Shortly thereafter, he worked to build his career in Dance Performance nationally and internationally. He went on to work with notable companies such as Dance Theatre X, Philadelphia Opera Company, The Rock School, Nevada Ballet, Norwegian Cruise Line, and the acclaimed Las Vegas Classic Jubilee!
His networking and impeccable work ethic allowed Yaqshaan to pursue his chance at choreography. The opportunity allowed Yaqshaan to become an award-winning choreographer with Youth America Grand Prix, International Ballet Competition, and Regional Dance America.
Currently, Yaqshaan holds several positions with Charlotte Ballet, Winston-Salem State University as an adjunct Professor and most recently, serves as a Residential Director of Jazz and Modern at Dance Davidson in Davidson, NC.
